About The Event
Inspired by the elusive and complex process of memory, Rose Riebl and Grace Ferguson present ‘Word Forgotten’, a recital including new original minimalist compositions on piano and electronic keyboard. Join the duo for a night of curated works by neoclassical composers Nils Frahm, Max Richter and Arvo Pärt presented in the atmospheric space of the Convent’s Industrial School. The concert will include poetry readings by Melbourne's Amelia Theodorakis, and guest appearances by Max Riebl and Chris Howlett.
The evening’s performance will be complemented by food from Melbourne chef Ella Mittas, who celebrates the Greek and Turkish cuisines of her heritage. Ella’s creations contemporise recipes that have been passed down to her and collected during overseas travels. These three Melbourne artists bring together music and food to explore memories and their possible permutations.
Ticket price includes a post-recital DJ set. Wines by Pyren Vineyard, Victoria and food by Melbourne chef Ella Mittas are available for purchase.
